KidWok ninja fact #22

"Can ya smell what 'THE WOK' is cookin'?!"

Here are ways fans have gotten me booked into their local club/venue:

1. Call the local club and ask for the MANAGER.  "Hello, Manager X, I am Z, I was calling to ask if you have ever heard of a comedian named 'Mark "KidWok" Britten.  He has gone by Chinaman in the past?  No?  I heard him on (Pandora, Sirius Satellite, Bob & Tom, Dragon Ball Z, favorite Chinaman credit here) and I've let several friends listen to him and we all agree that we would BUY tickets if he ever came to town. Could you watch some of his stuff on youtube and I'll call you back in about a week and you can let me know if you think you will ever have him at your club."  Call back a week later.  The key is persistance and of course MORE THAN ONE NINJA asking.  But, ONE NINJA has made all the difference in the past!

IF he/she says they do NOT think they will be having me thru, PLEASE get a reason as to why or what they think it would take for them to bring me in.  Please, report back your findings to your Main Ninja so that I can try to make it happen!  Thanks! :)

2) Find out the email address of the manager/booker (not always the same as the generic one on the website!)  E-mail them a dialogue similar to the above.  Include a link to this set at the Ice House in Pasadena, CA, a well-known comedy room in the industry that is VERY difficult to get time at in L.A.  They have invited  me back to do a coveted regular spot at their club whenever I move to L.A. and that says a LOT!

Mark's NOT REALLY HALF CHINESE!  His Grandmother was full Chinese and his Grandfather was half Chinese and half Spaniard. So, mathematecally, he would only be 37.5%! But who likes math jokes? I know, I know... Asians!

Upcoming Shows

Mark's comedic influences were Eddie Murphy, Howie Mandell, Bobcat Goldthwaite, Sam Kinison, and Galllagher!

Mark's first impression he mastered was "Mork From Ork" (Robin Williams) in third grade.  He used it to make friends at his new school.
